Metapueblos: green building training

Metapueblos is a pioneering initiative by the Málaga Provincial Council and La Noria to fight rural depopulation through training and entrepreneurship in emerging economies. Within the green building axis, our role was to provide real technical mentoring, bridging the gap between theory and the practice of the trade.
In this context, we had the privilege of welcoming Juan Flor, an intern who joined our team for several months of immersion. Beyond academic training, the truly valuable part was the shared experience on site. Juan worked side by side with us, learning traditional techniques through execution: building thin-tile vaults, formulating lime mortars, and understanding the rhythms of vernacular construction.
It was a beautiful period of mutual learning and living together. The greatest success of this experience is seeing how Juan has consolidated his own professional path in the Axarquía region, applying these techniques and demonstrating that the recovery of trades is a structural and poetic necessity for the resilience of our villages.
