Reconnecting with the mineral logic of the territory. The conference cycle “Discovering the Value of Vernacular Architecture” explored the wisdom implicit in traditional Axarquía constructions, from El Refugio Cultural Bar to the Periana City Hall.
We analyzed why lime walls breathe and how the thermal inertia of local materials defines a sustainable landscape not by imposition, but by technical coherence. An outreach effort to decipher the architectural alphabet of our villages, where each material tells a story of adaptation and respect for the environment.
