Trabadillo in Ronda
Trabadillo
Within the rehabilitation of a home in Ronda, where we installed clay tiles from Todobarro, we executed a continuous lime and gypsum trabadillo floor for the kitchen area. This intervention seeks to combine tradition and functionality through a purely artisanal material.
The construction process was developed in two phases: a 3 cm thick base layer to ensure solidity and stability, followed by a finishing layer made with aged lime putty. The result is a fine, uniform, and seamless surface that stands out for its timeless aesthetic and customization potential.
Beyond its beauty, trabadillo offers superior technical performance for a healthy home: it regulates ambient humidity (preventing condensation), improves air quality by being free of toxins, and represents a sustainable, low-impact alternative to industrial options like microcement.
