Alehandria house

In El Borge, Alehandria House is conceived not as a simple renovation, but as the comprehensive restoration of a village house that had lost its ability to breathe. The goal: to preserve its vernacular essence by solving moisture pathologies through building physics, not synthetic chemistry.

The intervention on vertical surfaces was carried out with aerial lime renders formulated on-site. The characteristic grayish tone of the finish does not come from cement, but from the geological honesty of the local sand used in the mixture. This technical decision ensures chromatic integration with the surroundings and returns vapor permeability to the walls.

To tackle capillary moisture from its roots, we replaced the existing floor with an aerated and lightweight slab. This strategy creates a decompression chamber that isolates the home from the ground, resulting in a thermally stable, cool, and energy-efficient space. Applied green building to recover natural comfort.
